About Sharp-Wits
Hi, Sharp-Wits is a tale as old as time…almost. Person encounters a frustration, from that frustration they create a solution, and then share said solution.
Like others who may be reading this, I had a doomscroll and screen time problem. I went from devouring 300+ page books, when I had the time, and engaging critically with them, to finding I didn’t have much an attention span for videos. I was also horrified to discover my vocabulary had withered to near nothing. Use it or lose it is one of the truest sayings.
I also started to notice how people were using the wrong their, they’re, and there more frequently. When I picked up a book and sat the phone down, I was disappointed by the state of most popular literature. There are good books today, don’t get me wrong, but it was a struggle to find wordsmiths of today that could hold a match to those of yesteryear.
It couldn’t just be me. After taking to the internet, I found plenty of people that shared similar problems. Their attention span was shot, they felt they had lost a mental edge or clarity, they wanted to find hobbies that felt meaningful as they embraced less screen time, simply expand their vocabulary, improve their writing, and the list goes on.
Everywhere it seemed like people were looking for a community for those seeking to engage more mindfully or even minimize their digital experiences. I’m just here to add another sources that focus on the writing portion with a hint of other crafty hobbies and rooting oneself in the physical world.

The Whooo Behind Sharp-Wits
For the day-to-day writing, content creation, and similar, there’s just a single gal behind Sharp-Wits. I work in the creative realm as a Creative Strategist, where I straddle the line between all things creative and marketing. This involves a lot of writing for copy like site content, social media captions, sales letters, emails, etc.
In my free time I still love to write; just, more creatively than standard Problem, Agitate, Solution (PAS) templates or technical guides. I also love to read, study too many languages, and a beau-coup of other hobbies that fall more in line with the analog/physical world. While a good video game is always welcome, it just rarely feels as fulfilling as other hobbies these days.
